Ap p ro xim a te ly 1 and 4 hours and 1 , 2 and 3 days a fte r tre a tm e n t, th e ra b b its were examined fo r evidence o f eye I r r i t a t i o n . A t each ob se rva tio n th e tre a te d eyes were examined using an ophthalmoscope and scored f o r o e u la r re actio n s using th e D ra ize scale (presented in Tab le I ) .
