ASBESTOS IN PAINT FILMS As you know, we are concerned about possible potential hazards associated with asbestos contained in talc used in some of our paints. We plan to conduct a test in which airborne asbestos measurements will be made in the breathing zone of an operator while sanding a typical primer. We have inquired and found that Haskell Lab has no data in its files on hazards of asbestos fiber that is bound or encapsulated in paints. We would now like to have Haskell conduct a brief literature search to see what pertinent infor mation may be readily available. This need not be an exhaustive search.
