Although our California talp based products generally show no asbestos minerals at the lower limit of detectability bv X-ray diffraction, they may occasionally show trace (0 l%-0 3%) amounts of tremolite. Our program of continuing checks of airborne dust at all Cyprus manufacturing plants show negative results for ksbstps minerals including tre molite, thus assuring compliance under the standard outlined under 1910.0110 (2) which was effective July 1, 1975. We attach a list of Montana and California talcs for your reference and suggest that this letter be kept with previous correspondence on this subject. As new regulatory data is published we will provide further clarification.
