As reported, the only symptoms in tho animals wore diarrhea and loss of appetite. In the studios on tho application of the Fl^ld to the skin of rabbits, it may be concluded that the material is not readily . absorbed inasmuch as the maximum dosage of 9,5 grans per kilo gram did not kill the animals. There wore no evidences of uystonlo effects* t In relation to skin irritation and eye irritation, the animal studies indicate that Pydraul 150 (Fluid 03-57) should not cause any difficulty. The score of 1.3 out of a possible 0 on the skin irritation studies la equivalent to the degree of Irritation caused by many toilet soaps under the sans conditions of investi gation. The average noxious score of 8 out of a poeslble 110 on the eye irritation studies compares to a score of about 20 whloh Is obtained when a 10 per oent Ivory soap solution is instilled in rabbits' eyes. As 1 am sure you know, the higher the soore, the more irritating the material in the rabbit's eyes. The vapor inhalation studies, although very Halted, indicate that massive exposures for several hours are not fatal to rats, I'm sorry that there has boon a delay in forwarding this infor mation to you.
