Robinson SHAC The First Quarter Safety and Housekeeping inspection for Dept. 13/14 was conducted by the Inspection Team of George Bostick, Jack Richards, Tommy Holder, Harry Robinson and B. J. Sanders on 1/29/85. The following items need correction: SAFETY Dept. 13 1. Fire extinguisher outside of generator building south of control room has tag which could not be read. 2. Eyebath No. 13-13 needs new head. 3. Safety shower on southwest corner of cat. building needs new glass cover. Eyebath cover needs to be replaced. 4. Paint low level valves and pipe (HC1 to Dept. 33). 5. Eyebath No. 13-6 needs replacing. 6. Station No. 13-6 utility water hoses need identification tape. 7. Seal leak on 13P16-1. 8. Eyebath No. 13-4 needs new cover on light. 9. Water hose near 13P18 needs pinning. 10. Utility station No. 13-7 "air" sign needs to be hung. Replace illegal crowfoot on air hose. Dept. 14 1. One small fire extinguisher for entire control room. 2. Tin sheet with nails sticking up beside control room. 3. Samples inside control room. 4. Organic trap overflows below stairs. Steam leak spraying hot water into pathway below stairs and numerous steam leaks and steam tracing being trapped to floor rather than drains. 7. Drum dolly could be updated to later model with four wheels plus brakes. 8. Rolling step ladder on third deck near 14D3 - no tag, rusty; should be inspected and painted. 9. Ladder safety chain near 14D5 not in place. HOUSEKEEPING Dept. 13 1. Tarp on northwest corner of old cat. building was left over from freeze protection. 2. Steam hose on floor in cat. building. 3. Utility water hose in cat. building needs remarking. 4. Utility station No. 13-20 had hoses on ground. 5. Scaffold boards on north end of block left over from S/D need removing. 6. LSV-356 relay box is rusty - needs replacing. 7. Drain at 13T14 is eroding/corroding the ground-hole under concrete. 8. Plastic sheet and board on ground near 13T14. Dept. 14 1. Loose scaffold boards on south end are poorly stored. 2. Loose insulation material at base of 14D3. 3. Loose roll of copper tubing hanging on fire monitor near 14D3. 4. Second level deck very cluttered and dirty. 5. Third level deck cluttered, plus loose hoses. 6. Cabinets for sample bottles and janitor supplies north of office building are cluttered. Training in progress on procedures for checking overspeeds. Bulletin boards were neat and orderly.
