The outer surface of Gyp-Lap is specially waterproofed to prevent the absorption of water from the stucco when it is applied, thus assuring the proper setting of the stucco into a hard, strong and permanent wall covering. Oriental Stucco Base Coat is a base scientifi cally factory-mixed with the correct proportion of uniformly graded, carefully selected sand and other ingredients to make it plastic and water proof. Factory mixing prevents oversanding or improper proportioning of other ingredients on the job. Its uniformity assures perfect joinings Gyp-Lap can also be economically used instead of various mixes that will not show through the ' of wood sheathing with brick veneer or clap delicate coloring of the finish coat. The Reinforcement Architects and builders know that the best stucco construction must include a suitable reinforcement that will take up all stresses due Oriental Stucco Finish Coat is a hydraulic lime base mixed with mineral colors and prepared with ingredients that make it waterproof and non staining. The formula used is based upon the methods used in producing the famous Old World f iB 026 1 1 2 1 stuccos and one successfully used in America for more than a decade. Oriental Stucco Finish Coat is furnished in white and eleven standard colors. All ingredients including the mineral colors are mixed by auto matic machinery, which accurately weighs each ingredient. A uniform color and correct mixture is thus assured, entirely eliminating the unavoid able variations when stucco is hand mixed on the job.' The beautiful colors of Oriental Stucco Finish Coat are permanent and unaffected by extremes of heat or cold. It sets slowly enough to permit proper finishing, thus avoiding unsightly streaks or shading. It can be troweled or given any de sired texture. It is ready for use by adding clean water only. Oriental Stucco Base and Finish contain no ingredient that will in any way weaken or corrode the steel reinforcement. SPECIFICATIONS Gyp-Lap and Oriental Stucco for Frame Construction Qeneral Specifications A satisfactory job of exterior stucco cannot be obtained unless the usual precautions are taken in planning the structure.
