We are pleased to confirm our lump sum quotation for the above work in accordance with your verbal inquiry. We propose and will agree to furnish all necessary labor and materials, including supervision, insurance, payroll taxes, job expense items, some scaffolding, tools and equipment to install the necessary 2" thick gunlte fireproofing on vessel skirts at the Suntide Refinery in Corpus ChriSti, Texas, in a complete and workmanlike manner, and in accordance with the following Terms, Conditions and Specifications. SPECIFICATIONS Our proposal is based on installing 2" thick gunlte fireproofing on seven vessel skirts in accordance with the drawings furnished to us at the time of your inquiry. The vessels to be fireproofed are DA-2503, DA-2551, FA-2501, FA-2570, 0A-2501, OA-2502 and DA-2PQ4. All vessels will be fireproofed inside and out with the exception of OA-2551 and FA-2570 which will be fireproofed on the exterior only. We do not Including any cleaning, sandblasting or painting of the vessel sktrts prior to fireproofing. All studs and reinforcing mesh necessary for the completed installation are to be furnished and installed by Berry Contracting, inc. GENERAL You will furnish free to us utilities of power, water, electrical hookup bf>> our equipment if needed and conveniences for our men. As previously, we have included the cost of compressed air in our proposal, but plan to rent this from Berry if available, in addition, we are to be afforded access and adequate working space adjacent to the work to be performed. OUR BID IS CONDITIONED UPON Our bid Is conditioned upon a five day work week with one eight hour shift per day, availability of labor and materials at the time of installation, and existing labor rates and material costs at this date. it is understood and agreed that additional compensation shall be paid by you to reflect any Increase In the cost of labor and/or materials above today's amounts, premium pay for overtime deemed necessary for the work and pay for delays or interference In the work not due to our fault. You will make payment before the 10th of each month of our invoice for 90% of labor expended and materials delivered during the preceding month, and will pay the balance within 35 days thereafter. Our price is firm for completion prior to October 15, 1967. Otherwise and thereafter, the above noted conditions of escalation shall apply.
