I'm reaching out to see if EPA wishes to respond over email to any of the sentiments expressed by environment and agriculture advocates in the story. In particular, advocates expressed frustration with EPA's recent moves to roll back regulations that require a minimum age of 18 for farmworkers who handle pesticides, and the agency's decision not to ban chlorpyrifos for agricultural use after many scientists recommended banning it. Those decisions, alongside Secretary Pruitt's comparatively few meetings with environmental organizations, were among the reasons that advocates reported to me that they felt EPA was not prioritizing community advocates and environmental protection, and was instead prioritizing industry. If you'd like to respond, just email me back at this address. It would be great to update the story with the agency's perspective. Thanks, Leah Douglas Sierra Club v.
