Transition Plan for C & P Epidemiology Projects
A change should be made in the transition plan for C & P epidemiology proj ects, The plant manager at Texas City, Mr. Damon Engle, has requested that Mrs. Dorothy Heyen not be designated as the local project manager. He will either serve in this role himself or designate another plant official to serve depending on the remaining needs of the study.
At this time all work history records have been keypunched and entered on computer tapes. This tape has not yet been edited nor have all causes of death codes been entered. Plans for these activities are underway. A University of Texas proposal to investigate the malignant brain tumors is also under consideration.
Thus, although the majority of the time consuming work has been completed, some further effort is required to insure that all information gathered to date is edited, complete and subjected to appropriate analyses.
Very truly yours, -QjlSO'vO Q,

TRANSITION PLAN FOR C&P EPIDEMIOLOGY PROJECTS
Your plan for coordination of the epidemiology projects currently underway in the former C&P division looks good.
I would suggest that you, Quint Hull, and the SHARE managers for the requisite division sit down and plan on means of identifying the local contacts at the plant sites. The SHARE managers are as follows:
Texas City - Solvents & Intermediates Division Ray Rankin
So. Chas., Sistersville - Silicones & Urethanes Division Dave Liebeskind
Seadrift - Polyolefins Division Dick Graebert
I will confirm to Dr. R. E. Pyle that the Corporate activity will assume responsibility for the ongoing epidemiology studies, and that Mr. Carvajal can be released to another assign ment .
