Safety kinks assembled by Mr. Oartel during the past year were presented as film strips. 56 views being shown. The first strip dealt with prevention of falling of material: with good housekeep ing: piling and storage; keeping loose ma terial from crane runways and other ele vated places: and similar safe practice*. It included 30 views reproduced from photographs which originally appeared in the National Safety News during the past year. The second strip illustrated new devel- opmenls in safeguarding and ways of pro moting saiety. It included 13 views taken in the Ohio and Chicago District plants of the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation and IJ photos received from other com panies. including the Ashland and Butler Divisions of the American Rolling Milt Company: the Duluth Works of the American Steel & Wire Company; the Republic Steel Corporation; the Ford Motor Company: the National Tube Com pany; and the Pittsburgh Limestone Company.
