All of their work has been with saturated atmospheres. They have gotten high toxicity through skin absorption of animals. They are most concerned about liver damage which resulted through skin absorption. The results have not been summarized in a report, but they expect to complete their work by early January and then make a report to the Bureau of Ships. Commander Siegel feels their high skin absorption contradicts some of Dr. Treon's data. From Jack's comments I feel that the Bureau of Ships will have to disregard the Bureau of Medicine's report if they go ahead with a submarine trial. The chances of their doing this, I believe, are nil. If you would like to discuss this toxicity work with Siegel or people at NAMRI, it could be arranged early in January.
