FOREWORD This publication is a compilation of motor vehicle safety equipment found to be in compliance with jurisdictional requirements by the AMECA Equipment Compliance Program. Compliance information contained in this publication is divided into twenty sections (device categories). Those sections which currently contain no listings have been temporarily omitted from the Compliance List. Devices in each section are listed in alphabetical or alphanumeric sequence irrespective of company name. Preceding each equipment section (except Section 5) is a listing of the applicable company names and their assigned code number identifiers. Sections having special symbols have a code legend preceding the section. The Compliance List is published in January of each year and contains all valid Notices of Equipment Compliance issued during the previous five years. Three quarterly supplements are issued each year. The first supplement contains all new, renewed and revised Notices for the first quarter ofthe calendar year. Supplement 2 contains all items which appeared in Supplement 1 plus all new, renewed and revised Notices for the second quarter. Upon receipt of Supplement 2, Supplement 1 may be discarded. The same procedure also applies for Supplement 3. Every effort is made to accurately report all new, renewed and revised items of the participating manufacturers. Your suggestions are always welcomed. Annual subscriptions to the 2005 Basic Listing and Supplements are free and distributed via email.
