While cu of thes workers seemed to have died from a multicentric adecocarcinoma of the lung without showing any asbestos bodies in the lung, the second one had scattered asbestos bodies in the lung in addition to an ex tensive mesothelioma of the peritoneum. Similar cancers involving the pleura and the peritoneum have occasionally been observed in Germany, while a rather largo cumber of such cancers has been found among South African miners of blue Capa asbestos.
