Concrete Aggregate sales during April amounted to 35,000 bags, most of our roof deck applicators mere busy during the month. The
month of may should also be a good volume month for concrete aggregate. In fact our applicators should be busy during the balance of the year.
The only dark Cloud on the horizon is the large number of local cone struction contracts that have to be negotiated this year.

..11 the trades are asking for largo wags increases in the range of three cellars to five dollars per hour Increases over a three year period. I Ci? fearful that a large nuobsr of these contracts aill ba signed only after e long strike period.
Construction strikes will affect nest of cur product lines therefera I hope wo ara not hurt by these wage negotiations.
Perlite concrots aggregate solos are sowing very sell. lie hove been hampered by not being able to run our parlite furnace at Trenton. Tnu furnaco is dawn for air pollution equipaant. It has been daun Far tus uuckc and ths projoction is for ths furnaca to bs down for at least another woo*. us have basn getting sees perlits from Surkirk plant how ever because of heavy teaand us ware f^oed to buy perlite frsa Pen.ocyivar.ia. Perlite in Allentown and also frsa Perlite Manufacturing in Priors, Per.na. This has been very costly but was essential fcr'us to hold the porlit6 bucinoas. This is particularly true with Cancrcto Plank Company, Arlington, Her Jersey as they do net relish the prospect cf buying perlite from us end arc looking for reasons not to give their business to us.
Dcrnody Foltz & Pray will be starting their first Dri Pac Job (,0GC' bogs) in old-Say. Henderson Johnson also has a number eg smaller jobs which will be applied during ths month of Cay.
During April se set up ScDrady Roofing Company of Portland, Faina as a pernadeck applicator. These people are well respected by general contractors in ths Portland area. About tan years ago EcBrady hat tho Ineulrock franchise. They gave it up to go into steel deck ereoticr.. Ths eteel deck market in Portland area is decreasing and the wood fiber on t~z rice. Consequently they want to gat back into the wood fiber buoinocc. They ere in position to take carloads. I feel they will help us generate some Pormedeck business in that croe.
tionokote sales continue to go very otreng. via sold 22,030 bogs during April. Sales during the month of Bay should be especially atreng if local construction strikes dcr;*t clcss the (jobs dcun.
All epray fireproofing in the city of New Ycrk has bton shut coon. r:o cna knows where tc turn tod most cf the spray applicctorc are tahinr s colt end cee attitude. The up.answerec question is who ic grin: to poy for the increased costs rocuircd to comply tith the ro';' r-.rulo` irn.s.
Tna Hoo Ycrk ruling ctetcc that all epray fireproofing containing asbestos is cuujcct to these regulations. This includes r.onokoto r roc-/or cc arc hopeful of getting a uaiver or. LoroUats at least .until our r:oraohcctoc r.onokcte 16 on tho corkat.

Our Bonokota Jobs in Philadelphia are still going however the city officials are looking at the Nee York regulations with the thought of doing something eimiliarj at least as far as the use of an overopray ie concerned*
So have received an order for 7,000 bogs of Eonokote fron Sangancro Gres* for the Keystone 3ullding in Boston* In addition Oe Cregoric and Caselc havo pronisod to give us the spray fireproofing cn tho Ochn Hancock Building in Boston if ee have a non asbestos product by cid-Ouly*
I hope the Eonokote nixing set up contemplated for the E* Hampton plant becooes a reality before too ouch longer* The Keystone Building job Bill be ready for Sonokote within ths next teo weeks*
Actual profit prior to taxes for the Northeast for tho 1st quarter is 15,400 this io considerable beloo ths budgeted goal of 21,200 a good deal of the decrease is ths result of high production coots.of the Trenton plant* X ac hopeful we can recover a portion of this loss within the noxt several months.
Seles during tho nonth of Bay should continue on a high plans* I anticipate bag sales of 105,000 and dollar sales of $210,000*
