Is not like the previous program with NATLSCO. Continental has replaced f;hr* workers compensation coverage previously provided by Kemper In 42 state;:, with an Insured program whereby they are responsible for workers compensation claims in these states. Since Continental has accepted this risk, they will be conducting inspections at all Union Carbide facilities at least once a year and more at locations which they feel have a higher rate of claims activity. Onlike NATLSCO, Continental cannot reasonably be limited from any part of our plants unless there Is good reason for doing so, such as the possibility of revealing trade secrets. As regards what information you should provide Continental, we would advise that information be provided which you feel is reasonable; however, if your facilities are not sure whether or not to comply or have difficulty with the request, please have them contact us. Further, it is our understanding that certain inspectors have requested products liability claim information, if this occurs they should be referred to their home office. It is also possible that the inspection being conducted may be a combined property damage (five) and personal safety inspection since Continental is also providing part of our fire insurance coverage. As respects your question regarding a 1987 inspection schedule, we have requested Continental to advise us as soon as practical of their plans for 1987.
