Costello fithyl Gasoline Corporation Chrysler Building New York, New York Dear Joe: I am sorry that there has been delay in replying to your letter of July 30 tout Dr. Kehoe has toeen out of the laboratory and other matters have prevented our answering before this. From Mat T aylor* s letter of August 4-, it would appear that Mr. ** ^he So cony Vacuum Oil C o m p a n ^ n a ^ D e e i ^ x a m i n e d at least three times in the past year by their physicians and it further appears from your last letter that there i3 still some question as to whether or not he is suffering from an occupational disease. I believe, therefore, it would be advisable for us to examine this man as soon as it is feasible to do so. Dr. Schradin will communicate with Mat Taylor to make arrangements for the examination. At the present time w have no medical con sultant in Boston to whom we wish to refer this case and would prefer to have the examination await Dr. Schradin*s visit. On the other hand, if it is Mr. Maxwell's opinion that there is some urgent need for the examination in that there ,i s 'impending legal action, we would suggest that this patient be referred by them directly to Dr. Karl Bowman, Boston Psychopathic Hospital, jb Fenwood Road, for purposes of diagnosis. We will consult with him about the case later. We have no arrangements with Dr. Bowman to act as our consultant, but have corresponded with him about other medical matters. Ktr 0004545 (2) August 20, 3?or our information and assistance, in the event we are asked to testify, will you please ask Mr, Maxwell if be will secure for^ us copies of their doctor's examinations of Mr. With best regards, I am Cordially, V?M:vr Willard Itfachle, 15.
