Its objects are: 1. To promote demand for products of the refractories industry, 2. To conduct research to improve products and processes of the industry and to develop new uses for products of the industry, 3. To collect, compile and distribute information with respect to matters relating to the industry, 4. To confer and cooperate with government agencies and other official bodies in the interest of the public and the industry. PURPOSE OF THE PRODUCT DIRECTORY The purpose of this Directory is to list in convenient form for reference, the names and addresses of manufacturers of refractories in the United States, the locations of plants, the product divisions and the brand or trade names under which the products are sold. An effort has been made to have the list of refractory manufacturers and their brands as complete as possible. The information presented pertains not only to manufacturers who are members of The Refractories Institute but to all others who desired to be included. The subject matter presented was secured voluntarily from refractory manufacturers and, although care has been taken to avoid errors.
