SHAC agreed that the TSSC will provide educational information to the plant as appropriate ----probably 1-4 hours in training. Rufus Baca discussed the last Hourly Safety Committee meeting. The Cooling Tower Fan Safety Device design was finalized. Howe discussed membership of the Second Quarter Safety Inspection Team (attached). Conrad will confirm names in "Services" and "Labs" areas. Harry Conrad discussed the nitrogen backup problem. Hammann will issue a reply to Corporate S&PP. In general, our present practice across the plant is acceptable and does not pose a safety problem, but the protective device bypass board should be used. Hammann will issue a memo. Conrad also discussed the criteria regarding selection of units based on safety records for the quarterly inspection (Utilities Dept, was not pleased with their elimination based on their current safety record). SHAC did not agree, and felt that the basis of selection is sound. NEW BUSINESS Bill Howe discussed the use of a neutron tank level detector for guaging tanks. /jP Attmt.
