In summary Mr. Succi had worked for General Tire in Akron, Ohio for almost 30 years. During the course of his employment he had been exposed to vinyl chloride, an agent which has been associated with angiosarcoma. In Septem ber, 1988 Mr. Succi started to experience some pedal edema, further investi gation revealed neoplasm of the liver. Biopsy of the liver confirmed the diagnosis of angiosarcoma. Mr. Succi health deteriorated rapidly he became jaundiced with ascites and edema and eventually he succumed to his disease on 1/10/89.
