When the cars are cleaned prior to repair the residual materials must be stored and disposed of properly. To minimize costs, the main effort is to minimize the number of tanks needed to store the materials. To aid in determining the number of tanks needed, GATX must know specific information on what materials (products) can and cannot be mixed in terms of reactivity. They have been provided MSDSs on all the materials, but feel they need further information concerning reactivity. A list of the materials is attached.
