Re: Query from VICE News: CPP Hearing in Charleston, WV
Hi Alex, attributable to an EPA spokesperson:
We heard from 229 speakers (182 yesterday, 47 today). We don't keep a tally of for/against.
Transcripts of the hearing will be put in the docket for the proposed action. It can take several weeks before those are completed.
No additional hearings have been scheduled at this time.
Written statements and supporting information submitted during the comment period will be considered with the same weight as any oral comments and supporting information presented at the public hearing. Written comments on the proposed rule may be submitted to the EPA electronically, by mail, by facsimile or through hand delivery/courier. Please refer to the proposal (82 FR 48035) for the addresses and detailed instructions. The period for providing comments to the EPA will remain open until January 16. 2018.

Hi EPA,
As the hearings wind up in Charleston, do you have a tally of how many testified in favor of repeal versus those who testified against? We couldn't be in all three rooms at once, but based on affiliations on the speaker list and what we heard, it looks as though about 30 people testified in favor of repeal.
Do you know when comments will be published in full in the federal register? Are there plans to hold further hearings?
