Israel
AIRPORT CITY, ISRAEL -Today, as part of his ongoing trade mission in Israel, Governor Rick Scott highlighted the successful Florida-lsrael Memorandum of Understanding Agreement between Space Florida and Israel, which ultimately established the Florida-lsrael Innovation Partnershipfollowing the Governor's 2011 trade mission to Israel. Through a joint application process, theFlorida-lsrael Innovation Partnership supports research, development, aerospace and technology projects between Israeli and Florida businesses. As part of this recognition, Governor Scott presented 16 participating companies with the Governor's Business Ambassador Award. The State of Florida and Israel have each invested $1 million annually to support the partnership.
Governor Scott said, "Through the Florida-lsrael Innovation Partnership, we have worked together to support businesses that are helping strengthen Florida and Israel as global leaders for innovation. I was proud to present some of the many Florida and Israeli participants with a Governor's Business Ambassador Award today, and we will continue to work closely with our partners in Israel to support projects that will lead to the creation of new opportunities for our families."
