Scott Rennie, the CEO of Vault 44.01, and Matt Miller, Managing Partner at Grey Rock, would like to request a meeting with Administrator Zeldin.
Can you please send me any forms necessary for this request?
We currently have availability on April 28-29 and May 12-13.
Scott would like to take this opportunity to discuss the Cardinal Ethanol project in Indiana. The project would take the 400 million tons of biogenic carbon emitted by Cardinal Ethanol and store it deep underground in the Mt. Simon sandstone formation in Indiana. The Class VI permit was submitted to EPA Region 5 in September 2022, initial messaging indicated a draft permit by December 2023. As of April 2025, technical review is not yet complete, delaying the permit application by 18 months.
This meeting provides an opportunity to outline the project as well as the delays encountered by the Biden EPA with the Cardinal Ethanol project. Which have deferred $50MM to $100MM in capital investment. We believe this project fits perfectly into this Administration's energy dominance agenda, prioritizing approval of permits for projects that will invest in America and support American workers.
Please see the attached meeting request form and supplemental supporting document.
Thank you,
