Dear Bert:- On November 8th, 1937 I wrote you a report on an alleged lead poisoning case in Blemheim, that of Mr, ____ former tank wagon driver for Thayer's. On Novembe: 18tiu, 1937, I had a letter advising that Dr. Kehoe was writing to Dr. Story of Blenheim in regard to this case. I was speaking to Mr. MacTherson, Sales Manager for Thayer's, this morning, and he said that L r . ^ ^ p t i s now tanking gasoline for Visco in the Blenheim district and has taken some of their customers . Mr. MacPherson said that they would like to have M r .^Jjpfccone back and work for then again, as hejjas quite a follovdng in this district, and apparently Mr. ^ J p w o u l d bo willing to do this except for the fact that Dr. Story has warned him against handling leaded gasoline again. Hr. MacFherson also said that a Mr. Springsteen, who works in a garage in Blenheim, claims to have sold gasoline to one of the Ethyl Gasoline Laboratory employees from Detroit, who, in conversation afterwards told Mr. Springsteen that the Ethyl Corporation maintained a staff of nurses and Doctors in various parts of the States to take care of lead poisoning cases. Mr. KacPherson claims' that these instances have done them considerable harm around Blenheim, and would like to have some definite assurance that Mr. would not suffer by again engaging in the delivery of leadec^asoline.
