Atlantic Richfield Kell, I hope that you are doing well. I have attached a copy of Atlantic Richfield's petition for a writ of certiorari filed today with the US Supreme Court for the Christian v. Atlantic Richfield litigation. Amicus briefs will be submitted by the end of May. All briefs will be filed by the end of July. The Court will consider the petition when it returns in September. This litigation could have substantial impacts on the implementation of Superfund remedies, the EPA's authority under CERCLA, and the protections provided to cooperating PRPs through the consent decree process.
