Barnhart, Executive Secretary Dear Jack: Last year, at our Tenth Annual National Meeting at the Waldorf, I was told by one of our directors on our Manufacturers Relations Committee, that NIMA had approved a $2, 500,00 contribution to the IDCNA Manual Publishing Fund. Neddless to say, IDCNA was very happy to learn this. We are now receiving contributions from our members. This money is being placed in our Savings Account to be held for this purpose only. As you know, IDCNA has engaged a consulting engineer to write the national Manual. A retainer of $2* 000.CO was paid to him on December 1, 1965. He is progressing very wall on his assignment the firct 80 pagos are about ready for proof-reading. The second installment of this retainer will be due him on July 1, 1966, and will be paid from the contribut ions being advanced. It it would be possible for NIMA to send us its contribution soon, X would apprsciato it vary much. We will reeorve a quantity of books from the f irst printing for distribution to you. The number will depend on the selling price to be decided divided into $2, 500.00. Please let me express again, our sincere thanks for your holp with this national project.
