Shipping personnel will open the transfer block valve and the recirculation block valve before starting the transfer pumps. After starting the transfer pumps, he will adjust the recirculation valve to get 70-80 psi discharge pressure on the EC transfer pumps. 5. It is the shipping personnel's responsibility to restart pumps or check pumps if there is a transfer problem. If shipping cannot find the problem;, he will notify the EC lead operator. 6. The low level alarm will be the "empty" point for EC day tanks. The EC lead operator will notify shipping when this occurs. Shipping will shutdown the transfer pumps and will line up the next tank if agreed upon by the EC lead operator. If shipping is about to top off a tank, they can continue to load out of a low level EC day tank if agreed upon by the EC lead operator. 7. When shipping has finished loading, they will close the loading valve slowly or shutdown EC transfer pumps first.
