Hello
I'm emailing you to find the best date/time during the week of March 20th to discuss the customer-side portion of NGS. Next week, I will send you a PowerPoint presentation that details:
a. An overview of NGS transmission availability in the region to consider for potential customers;
b. A Q-3 operating profile for NGS and how such an operations strategy affects owners/operators, customers, coal production, etc.; and
c. A discussion of how decisions at NGS can affect other baseload plants as well.
During the week of March 20th, we will convene a conference call to discuss the findings and determine next steps (if any) ahead of the April 12th session at the Dept. of Interior.
Please let me know which days/times work best for you.
Have a great weekend.

I wanted to see if I could ask your guidance/help on an issue. This is the first time in 30 years that I'ye had an issue at Interior, so I don't really know where to go. It inyolyes the Nayajo Generating Station in Arizona. Black & Veatch has a plan that it wants to put forward to repurpose the plant to renewables. They haye briefed the other owners (other than the Bureau of Reclamation) and they haye spoken to large potential offtakers. Can you tell me who we should be talking to at DOI or at the Bureau to brief them on the proposal - and if possible provide an introduction? We can do it out there or in DC - whatever makes sense. We just want to add our proposal to the options available to resolve the current situation. I appreciate any guidance and introductions you can provide. Thanks so much. Hope to see you one of these days.

Brent

Jim, hi, this is Brenda Burman. Congratulations on your new position good to know you are over there.
I left you a voice message and want to follow up with an email. Lane and I work for Salt River Project (SRP) now and would like a chance to meet with you next week about what is going on with Navajo Generating Station (NGS). I'm not sure what briefing materials you have seen, but NGS is a coal generating plant on the Navajo Nation Reservation. It receives coal from a mine located on both the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. NGS has several owners including SRP as the operating agent and the United States (through the Bureau of Reclamation), which owns over 20%. In the last month the news has reported that the owners, including the US, are in discussion with the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribe about the economics of the plant and its future useful life. Several options are being discussed and a decision could be made in the following weeks.
We would like to come talk to you about NGS next week while I am in town. Is that possible? We can be very flexible with time Monday through Wednesday or on Thursday February 2 our Deputy General Manager will be in town and would be able to meet.
Thanks Jim
