Purpose:
The purpose of this regulation 1* to prescribe to eaployer* the aarlaa average emospherle concentration of concaalnaat* to which they are persisted to expose ecployes* during *n eight-hour working day In their places of eeploynent, in cluding Industrial establlshaent*.
Pertinent Reference*: Cepie* of related law*, regulation*, opinion* of the Attorney General of Texas, and Advi*ory Standard* currently applicable will be provided to any elelxea of Texas upon request.
II. Applicability of Figure* Listed Herein
Individual people react differently after excessive exposure* to atmospheric concentrations of concsainaat* in placa* of esployaent. Lilted herein are weighted avaragt concentrations generally safe In place* of employment during on eight-hour working exposure. These ere not aaxicua values which cannot be exceeded oaeantarily depending upon, but not United to, such factors as nature of contaminant; frequency of occurrence of high concentration; variable durations of exposure; probability of acute poisoning froa high concsntrscion for even short periods; cumulative effects. Employer* shell consider these factors prior co exceeding values listed herein.
III. Revision
Values llstsd herein ere based upon Information obtained froa recant experience, a^arlaastal study report*, or a ccabinacion of tha two. Regular review will rtsult in revision a* justified.
