With regard to the possible visit of Mr. R. P. Lowe of Proportioneers, Inc., I shall be very pleased to discuss any matter he has in mind with regard to the use of DDT as an insectidide. I sjm attaching a copy of a letter I sent to Dr. Patty listing proposed papers personnel from this Laboratory could present jat the coming meetings of the various Industrial Hygiene ^Associations in April. You 'will note that neither DDT nor xylidine were mentioned as topics, a s I informed you at the ASA meeting, we are now engaged in compiling as one bulletin all the work we did on xylidine. When this is completed we propose to ask for clearance for publication as a Public Health Bulletin. As you are aware, several of the professional personnel of different disciplines were engaged in this study. Therefore, it takes considerable time to corre late all the information into one bulletin. The condensation of all of our material into one short paper for presentation would be rather a difficult job, but still more difficult would be fairly establishing the authorship problem (with which I imagine you have had some experience), However, some member of our group could present and discuss our findings in the discussion of your paper.
