Dear Mr. Brauck: t Confirming your October 6, 1972 phone call, enclosed are ` 100 pre-addressed return labels. Each site returning drums of fluid should dearly indicate the drum contents on each label. As we discussed, we would appreciate each of your plant sites notifying us before their returning fluid so that we can issue the site a "fluid return identification number." This identification number should appear on the freight bill of lading and on each drum. The drums can then be shipped freight prepaid to: Monsanto Company Dept. 246 Sauget, Illinois 62201 It is my understanding that all returns of Pydraul ACA, 135A, 150A and 312A will be shipped freight prepaid and that we will properly dispose of the fluids by high tempera ture incineration. _ Please note that we cannot handle aqueous solutions or solids (i.e. sawdust, rags or sludge). For these materials, we sug- . gest you check local authorities and your own environmental department for an approved method of disposal. Our Sauget plant is instructed to refuse receipt of containers contain ing solids, and to return same to the sender at the sender's expense.
