I now have the explanations for the data set below. I spoke with Jeff Todd, Development Manager for First Chem and what follows is the explanation:
The data set includes 19 samples with the following breakdown:
Lines 2 through 10 are samples taken in February and April of 2004 " during plant production of Forfac telomer. Lines 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8
are a mixture of process water, condensate, and rainwater taken from area sumps in the Forfac production area. Results ranged from about 1 to 9 ppb. Waters from these sources are collected at the site and sent to Chambers Works SET for further wastewater processing. None is passed directly to the environment.
Lines 4 and 5 are blanks from Exogen sent as part of the sampling protocol (result <10 ppt). Line 9 is a process water sample from an area outside the Forfac production area and was NQ. Line 10 is a sample of tap water from the site with a result of <10 ppt.
Lines 11 through 20 are water samples taken from a laboratory bench scale simulation of the Forfac process done in November of 2003. These do not represent plant production. Included, as above, are two blanks (lines 16 and 17). These bench scale process related wastewaters ranged from NQ to 449 ppb.
