Hi Scott, I would like to request Technical Assistance (TA) from the DOI on legislative text (see below) I'm working on for my boss. This language has not been approved by Rep. LaMalfa, so this remains a staff level exercise, the language is subject to change, and I ask that you please keep it confidential. In short, I would like to know does the DOI interpret the below language as enabling Reclamation to enlarge surface water storage projects, including raising Shasta Dam, and that for such actions a non-Federal cost share partner is not needed and no reimbursements to BOR under reclamation law would be required? If not, can DOI please provide edits to accomplish this objective? If you can let me know as soon as possible, that would be great. I'm under a tight deadline.
