Burgum and Shell CEO Sawan Date: Thu, 06 Feb 2025 22:04:18 -0000 Importance: Normal Good evening James, Thank you for your meeting request. I am working on a process to get meetings scheduled and I will follow up with as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience Best, From: James.Schindler@shell.com <James.Schindler@shell.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 4, 2025 10:50 AM To: Interior, Scheduling <Scheduling_Interior@ios.doi.gov> Cc: Alana.Wilson@shell.com; sfkoopman@acornwdc.com Subject: [EXTERNAL] Meeting Request for Sec. Burgum and Shell CEO Sawan This email has been received from outside of DOI - Use caution before clicking on links, opening attachments, or responding. DOI Scheduling - I hope this finds you all well. I'm reaching out with the hope of finding some time on Secretary Burgum schedule to meet with Wael Sawan, CEO of Shell. Mr. Sawan's biography can be found here. Mr. Sawan will be in DC and available for a meeting February 19 - 21. Shell is the largest producer of oil and gas in the Federal offshore (Gulf of America) and the largest payor of Federal royalties. The United States is the largest investment within the Shell global enterprise. With this, Mr. Sawan would appreciate the opportunity to talk about policy items relevant to the US (e.g., lease availability, vessel restrictions, bonding and financial assurance policy) and any other global energy matters of interest to the Secretary. Thank you in advance for your consideration! James Schindler Corporate Relations Advisor Shell Sierra Club v. Dept of Interior - 3:25-cv-05375-PHK 0000370 SC_EVERSPLIT0013217
