Williams File - Due to the recent reorganization In which color matching is now the responsibility of Flemington Product Development, a redefi nition of color match requirements and procedures is necessary. As discussed with CSL and Product Development, the following procedure wiil be implemented: AMP Compound Color Contro1 Compound Quality Control will recommend adjustments on off con trol color to bring the compound within established limits. CSL will disposition off color compound produced. New Color Matches CSL: Product Development: Compound Quality Control: Define color requirements including permissible shade and light and dark limits. Product Development will perform color on Tuesday of each week based on CSL/Marketing definition of requirements. Exceptions to this one-day-per-wec-k schedule will be assessed on a priority basis with other Product Development projects. When the match Is approved by CSL, it will be submitted with a two-day minimum lead time to Compound Quality Cont ro_ The R&D colo r match will be verified by Comp ound Quality Cont rol. The plant will not run the compound uni ess this check is verified. If the match Is not verified, it will be rechecked and adjusted at Flemington or, if the run has cr i t i cal timing, the Product Development Colorist will be In a ttendance for the ru'n to make ad j ustments.
