Mathematical dispersions modeling of the known atmospheric emissions of vinyl chloride monomer at Assonet indicate ground level concentrations as high as 0.3 ppmv (as a 1 hour average). Please determine, if possible, die potential health hazard, if any, from this type of exposure. The model in dicates this concentration on the ground as far as half a mile from the plant, which is well beyond the plants property line in certain directions. The number is not conservative as it addresses only known sources, hence additional VCM could possibly be lost from other sources within the plant.
