Piegfeld,Assistant Secretary The meeting was called to order with Mr. Clinton H.Crane in the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting of May 15, 1944 were approved. REPORT OF THE TREASURER The Treasurer presented a reoort of the expenditures from January 1 to April 50, 1945, which was approved, and is attached as Exhibit ,TA." In presenting this report, the Treasurer `stated that the Association had a cash balance of approximately $1^7,000 out of which the purchase of 7/8# Treasury Certificates of In debtedness of Series E-1946 in the sum of $100,000 had been or dered through the Chase National Bank in connection with the oresent war loan drive, the purchase to remain in the custody of the bank. LIA003C5 Board of Directors Meeting Minutes May 29, 1945 2 APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE The Chairman stated that it was in order to appoint an Executive Committee: WHEREUPON, with the consent of the Board, the Chairman appointed the following as members of the Executive Committee: Clinton H. Crane, F. H. Brownell F. F. Colcord L. E. Hanley F. W. Rockwell Chairman ELECTION OF OFFICERS The Chairman stated that it was in order to elect of ficers of the Lead Industries Association. WHEREUPON, the following nomirations were made, and there being no further nominations, the Secretary was instructed to cast one ballot for the election of these nominees and they were declared elected: Clinton H.-Crane, ^resident F. H. Erov.nell, Vice President F. W. Rockwell, Vice President F. E. Worrcser, Secretary and Treasurer EPFTTQN WOODS The solicitation of the Eusiness and Industry Committee for Eretton Woods which was sent to members of the Eoard on May 25, 1945, was brought up and the Chairman pointed out that there was no unanimous support or even understanding of the Bretton Woods arrangement among the membershio of the Lead Industries Associ ation so he felt the Association should not support this Committee. The Board of Directors concurred in this viewpoint. The meeting adjourned at 1:45 P.M.
