Each of us has spent soae tiae reviewing alternative aaterials (ie. non~asbestos, teflon, graphite, etc.), and depending on the service there often is not an obvious equal substitiution. The nature of our business today is emphasizing equipaent safety and reliability. It is clear that before there are any substitutions, there needs to be a conscious consideration of the application and soae sort of material evaluation and testing. Soae of you have already developed and initiated testing and evaluation for spot substitution. But as ve are all fighting this battle concurrently, an informatics sharing meeting would be helpful.
