Lewis: In Mr* Ball's weekly letter of November 7, there is a paragraph which I find difficult to interpret; it reads as follows: "Hr, Peveto reports his receipt of a letter from Lr. The tank record sheet will be filled out when a tank is cleaned* This will mean the record of one tank only will appear on each card unless we hold it up to be filled in* or sell them.on the idea to give us complete records. It is understood that in his letter, Lr. Manley advised not to withhold any information we might desire," Do you suppose that the general instructions issued by The Texas Company have had the same intrepretation put on them as Lr, l-eveto has put on it In this ease? unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to discuss these forms with Lr, Gray while in Eew York, and it is therefore possible that some such construction as the above may have been put upon our request ,ie would very definitely like to have all of the tank "records covering individ ual tanks, accompany sheets one and three, bill you be kind enough to discuss this matter with Lr, Gray and If possible, obtain a copy of Lr, Manley's letter to their refineries if his letter expresses our idea. If Lr. Manley under stands exactly what we wish, he may have no objection to putting copies of his letter in the hands of the safety men, with"the idea of the safety men explaining what wre want in the way of information at the same time they make their visits to The Texas Company Refineries for other purposes.
