Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) study of "Cyc1osorb" talc sample, revealed the presence of fibrous minerals. The fiber particle population density was estimated to be about 5%, however, weight percent from XRDO indicated 3% Tremmoo1lite. Microscopic study revealed that the majority of the fibers present were asbestiform. Transmission Electron Mircroscope (TEM/SAEOD) confirmed the presence of asbestiform

The sample was examined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and selected area electron diffraction (SAED). The sample was found to contain amphibole fibers, probably tremolite.
