Dehr Customer: Date: November 6, 1967 Department: Plant 4 - Robinson Reference: Victopac Stock Program In a meeting on November 3, R.M. Burns gave approval to a proposal for building a bank of Victopac sheet stock. I have asked Frank Roberson to develop releases for an eight-week*supply of assorted gauges of Victopac 65. This material is to be built as your schedules allow. Deliver to our plant identified to specific release numbers which we will supply. It is expected that the additional inventory investment will amount to approximately $50,000. It is acknowledged that the inventory investment is a hedge. If we are successful in manufacturing Victopac 65 directly from the Plant 4 mill, the excess inventory would not be necessary. It was agreed that we cannot take the risk of not building the stock because of the danger of jeopardizing Caterpillar deliveries. We do not know if Chicago production will be maintained when the full impact of moving the Victopac operation is felt at Plant 1. HD/po DANA-095 VPD-91-0002398 HtfC IN U.S.A. VC 2227
