As discussed during our recent phone conversation, ve here reviewed the contents of our current service mmrnalg for mention of cautions regarding brake repair. We are not currently providing a procedure for raaoval of dust from the brake drums or brake 1 f.ni ng area.
I hare noted on the attached copies of our shop manual, the locations that should Include a caution regarding asbestos particles.
If you will, provide some suggested copy for a caution, ve vill Insert it in the next printing. We vill also incorporate this caution in all future texts, such as training urnmn-lq and video tapes, that pertain to the areas where asbestos dust may be considered harmful.

3 Remove (hr brake shite guide bolt toner pm, nut. washer, and boll from both shoes, and remove the shoe* from the backing plate
4 Remove the slump-type adjusting wheel Irak from the anchor pin support and unthread the adjusting srrrw and wheel assembly from the anchor pin support.

3 Remove the cyftntier clamps, install the drum or the huh and drum assembls, and install the wheel assembly Align Ihe marks on Ihe hub end drum for proper installation.
