Post 0ATE August 28, 1979 ASBESTOS FORMULATIONS The production o f three cements, Masonry, P la s t ic (Hand) and Gun P la s tic was researched fo r Permanente and Cushenbury plants apropos of asbestos content. S a lie n t dates of manufacture and product s p e c ific a tio n s are attached (Table I ) . Relevant comments are lis t e d below by p la n t. I. Permanente 1. Masonry - produced from 11/15/60 to 7/24/62. - manufactured without asbestos. 2. P l a s t ic (Hand) - f i r s t produced on 11/15/60. - asbestos ad d itio n in it ia t e d on 12/15/61. - asbestos deleted from form ulation on 7/73. - s t i l l in production with asbestos-free formulation. 3. Gun P la s t ic - asbestos added a t production onset, 11/15/60. - la s t produced in 10/73. - fin a l product sp e c ifica tio n (Pl.G -5 ) containing asbestos formulation is 'c u rre n t' despite lack of production.. I I . Cushenbury 1. Masonry - f i r s t produced in 9/72 containing asbestos. - la s t manufactured in 9/77. - product s p e c ific a tio n (M-l T e n ta tiv e ) with asbestos formulation is 'cu rre n t' despite lack o f production. Gun P l a s t ic - f i r s t produced 'containing asbestos on 2/1/60. - manufactured up to ~ 2 .7 4 with asbestos form ulation. - product s p e c ific a tio n (G.P1-7) with asbestos formulation is 'cu rre n t' despite lack of production.
