NATIONAL LEAD COMPANY JVEWS LETTE No. 382 May 26, 1958 PROGRAM ESTABLISHED TO MATCH EMPLOYEE GIFTS TO COLLEGES As a means of contributing to the progress and strength of the nation's educational system, a program for matching employee gifts to colleges has been established by The National Lead Foundation, Inc. Under this program the Foundation will duplicate gifts made by employees of National Lead Company or its wholly owned domestic subsidiaries to approved colleges and universities of their choice. In any calendar year the Foundation's contribution with respect to the gifts of any individual employee shall be limited to the sum of $500. CHANGES ANNOUNCED FOR TITANIUM PIGMENT CORPORATION The following appointments have been announced for Titanium Pigment Corporation: Allan G. Davies becomes New York district sales manager. Mr. Davies attended Cleveland College and was employed as a salesman by Titanium Pigment in 19^5 in Philadelphia. He was transferred to Portland, Oregon, then to San Francisco in 1950, where he continued as a salesman until the present appointment. He was formerly employed by Sherwin-Williams Company. Henry E. Melvin has been transferred from Los Angeles to San Francisco as senior salesman, in charge of the sales office in that city. Mr. Melvin, who has a B.S. degree in chemistry from Georgetown University, joined Titanium Pigment Corporation in 19^6 as a salesman in New York City. In November of the following year he was transferred to Los Angeles. He worked for J. T. Baker Chemical Company prior to joining National Lead Company. David A Sonnenmair, Jr., a Titanium Pigment sales trainee in New York City since July of last year, is now a salesman in Los Angeles. Mr. Sonnenmair, who holds a B.S. degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, was first employed at the Company's Baltimore Branch in 1952. LEA NAMED TRADE SALES MANAGER, ATLANTA BRANCH Clyde S. Lea has been appointed trade sales manager of the Atlanta Branch, effective April 15. Mr. Lea was employed as a territory salesman in North Carolina by the Philadelphia Branch in 1955, continuing in that position until the present appointment. He was with the Sherwin-Williams Company before coming to National Lead Company. JENNINGS ELECTED PRESIDENT OF TIN ASSOCIATION John J.
