Pigg Executive Director ASBESTOS INFORMATION ASSOCIATION of North America 1745 Jefferson-Davis Highway Crystal Square 4, Suite 509 Arlington, VA 22202 Dear Bob: In regard to your letter of May 7, 1980, Special Materials, Inc. Wisconsin (formerly Special Asbestos Company) has been sold to an English group. Mr. Robert Carlson has purchased all the stock of Special Materials, Inc. Ohio, which repre sented the Vermont Asbestos Group. I own all the stock of Special Materials, Inc. Illinois, which represents Calaveras Asbestos Ltd. Special Materials, Inc. Illinois will continue to be a member of AIA as long as It is financially feasible. This, of course, will be an enormous burden on me since all monies will have to come from the Calaveras operation. As you full well realize, Gordon Coats of Calaveras Asbestos is remaining a member of the AIA. We certainly want to be a member and will do our best to remain so because we believe in the service that you are providing the industry. I plan to attend the meeting in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 11th. I would appreciate it if you would make me a reservation at the Ramada inn in Alexandria, Virginia for the night of June 10th. Thank you for your assistance. Very truly yours, SPECIAL MATERIALS, INC.
