Kehoe, M.D. Kettering Laboratory College of Medicine Cincinnati 19, Ohio Dear Dr. Kehoe: During the past several months there has been an interchange of correspondence between Frank Elder, myself, and others relative to the A.P.H.A. report, "Occupational. Lead Exposure and Lead Poisoning". You were, you will . recall, the Chairman of the Committee which prepared the original report. The questions discussed were: Should the bulletin be reprinted and if so, should it be revised before reprint ing. After hearing from a number of persons, it seems to be the unanimous opinion that it should be reprinted and also that it needs some revision before reprinting. It was further suggested that there be no change in format or in sponsorship. This means that when revision is authorized we most certainly want you to again act as Chairman of the Committee. I believe the report was originally prepared for the Occupational Health Section and, as such, the Section can revise it and publish it as a Sectional report without the need for direct supervision from the Committee on Evalua tion and Standards. All we need to do is to prepare a definite procedure and submit it as our recommendation to this Committee for approval. Will you please give me your thinking on this matter. Also, I hope you will be willing to supervise this project as Chairman of the Revision Committee. I am enclosing copies of some of the correspondence for your information. Sincerely yours, FRI:mi Fred R. Ingram, Chairman Occupational Health Section, A.P.H.A
