Krieger (E-mail) Subject: Shanghai Health Study - Communication from the Benzene Health Research Consortium Dear Dr. Fu, Dr. Irons, Dr. Wong; The Benzene Health Research Consortium (BHRC) wishes to reaffirm that the Shanghai Health Study is a completely independent study under the direction of the principal investigators. We reaffirm that a grant to the University of Colorado and contracts with Fudan University and Applied Health Sciences have been awarded to the principal investigators to fund these studies. Dr. Richard Irons, the principal investigator from the University of Colorado, is responsible for the clinical, laboratory, and exposure assessment portions of the study. He has contracted with EMBSI to do the exposure assessment. Activities in support of the exposure assessment, such as an exposure assessment workshop, is the responsibility of Dr. Irons.
