The report is being prepared subsequent to the California Health and Safety Code (Section 39650 et seq.) and may serve as the basis for regulatory action, specifically, the identification of vinyl chloride as a toxic air contaminant. The report is composed of Part A which discusses the uses, emissions and exposure to ambient concentrations of vinyl chloride in California, Part B which discusses the effects of vinyl chloride on health and the risk from exposure to atmospheric concentrations of vinyl chloride, Part C which consists of public comments we received regarding the preliminary draft report and an Executive Summary. We expect to have the draft report available in six to eight weeks. If you are interested in receiving this draft document, or if you would like to be advised when the final edition becomes available, please complete and return the enclosed form within 10 days. If you do not respond, your name will be dropped from the vinyl chloride mailing list. There will be a 15-day review period following the release of the draft report.
