I am writing on behalf of the Pre-RD Group to follow up on the e-mail sent by Elizabeth Weaver on August 29, 2017 and the subsequent call with you and other members of the EPA team yesterday afternoon. First, we want to thank you again for your time and effort and the hard work of everyone on the EPA team in our collective efforts to resolve the remaining outstanding issues in order to move forward on collecting additional Pre-RD data and analysis and achieve progress at the Portland Harbor Superfund Site.
Since yesterday's call the Pre-RD Group has had a number of discussions both collectively and within each organization. Those discussions are continuing, and we expect to be in a position to provide you with a collective and comprehensive response to the EPA positions you articulated on the key open issues by early next week. We recognize that time is limited in order to achieve our mutual goal of getting into the water to start the field work this Fall and meet the two-year schedule. I can assure you that each member of the Pre-RD Group is working hard on the remaining issues, which as you are aware are significant to all parties.
