Will standard chemical fume hoods control Alumina dust emissions?
A.)
Yes. Based on the physical properties of our Alumina, and the low toxicity of the particulate, a face velocity of approxi mately 100 fpm would be recommended for hoods handling alumina. The chemical fume hoods in the LCCP laboratory are generally capable of maintaining this velocity.
